Job Notes - Personal Lines Insurance Location
- Portadown
- Five days per week in the office
- On-street parking available
- Strict office hours, closing from 1:00pm-2:00pm for lunch and at 5:00pm each evening
- One, potentially two, vacancies due to two employees leaving
- The company rarely recruits due to excellent staff retention
- Most employees have over 10 years' service, with some having worked there for more than 40 years
- Work through a monthly renewals list, providing customers with new quotations around 14 days before renewal
- Complete approximately eight renewals per day
- Straightforward renewals can take approximately 20-30 minutes
- Handle inbound telephone calls and customer enquiries
- Assist customers visiting the office
- Provide travel insurance quotations by telephone, email and letter
- Process mid-term policy adjustments
- Use the Open GI system
- Ask effective questions to gather the information needed for more complex travel insurance quotations
- Previous Personal Lines insurance experience is preferred
- Candidates from banking or wider financial services backgrounds may also be considered
- Ideally based in Bangor or within an easy commute
- Personable, professional and customer-focused
- Strong communication, listening and questioning skills
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable dealing with customers by telephone and face-to-face
- The position is service-focused rather than heavily sales-driven
- Personality and fit within the existing team are particularly important

- 25 days' annual leave plus 11 statutory holidays
- Support available to complete relevant professional examinations
