Blood Bank Technologist Evening Shift (Reference Lab)
Location: Detroit, MI 48201
Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM 11:30 PM)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Seeking a Blood Bank Technologist for an evening shift role in a non-hospital reference laboratory setting in Detroit. This position focuses on complex immunohematology testing and supporting hospital transfusion services remotely.
Responsibilities:- Perform ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening, and crossmatch testing
- Workup complex antibody identification cases
- Provide reference lab support to hospital blood banks
- Prepare and issue antigen-negative and rare blood products
- Maintain QC, documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- ASCP certification (MLS or BB) preferred or eligible
- Blood bank or reference lab experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
