Blood Bank Technologist Overnight Shift
Location: Detroit, MI 48201
Shift: Night Shift (11:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Seeking a Blood Bank Technologist to perform routine and complex transfusion services testing on the overnight shift in a busy laboratory setting in Detroit.
Responsibilities:- ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening, and crossmatching
- Resolve antibody identification and compatibility issues
- Issue blood products per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Support emergency release and STAT transfusion needs
- Maintain accurate lab records and ensure QC compliance
- Bachelor s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- ASCP certification (MLS or BB) preferred or eligible
- Blood bank experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently overnight
