Locum Physician - Interventional Radiology

Join an exceptional team at a leading hospital in Lansing, MI, renowned for its diverse medical services and commitment to patient care. The facility is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist (MD) to be part of a collaborative team comprising 3 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). With a focus on hospital-based IR services, this role offers a day-shift schedule alongside Q3 call coverage. The practice setting is supportive, equipped with experienced staff facilitating a robust and dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide hospital-based Interventional Radiology services.
• Manage call coverage, including Q3 weekday and weekend rotations.
• Conduct essential procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, and thrombolysis.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure optimized patient care.
• Engage in documentation and case management using the designated EMR system.
• Participate in training and orienting new staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Interventional Radiology (REQUIRED).
• Active State Medical License in Michigan (REQUIRED).
• BLS & ACLS Certifications (REQUIRED).
• Local providers preferred; travel providers must commit to 2+ weeks of coverage.
• Clean malpractice and license history (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
• Recent NPDB self-query (within 30 days of presentation) (REQUIRED).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Interventional Radiology: REQUIRED
• Active Michigan State Medical License: REQUIRED
• BLS Certification: REQUIRED
• ACLS Certification: REQUIRED
