Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner

Established orthopedic group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing orthopedic urgent care team. This position offers a 100% outpatient practice treating acute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in patients of all ages.

• 
  Clinic Hours: Monday Friday: 9 AM 7 PM; Saturday Sunday: 9 AM 5 PM


• 
  Evening and weekend shifts required; individual schedules may vary.
  


• Join an established team of APPs and sports medicine physicians


• 100% outpatient orthopedic urgent care


• Treat acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions


• Access to board-certified orthopedic specialists and comprehensive therapy services


• Walk-in clinic with weekday, evening, and weekend shifts


• Multiple practice locations throughout Virginia

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages


• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and testing


• Perform fracture and dislocation reductions and management


• Provide laceration repair and joint injections


• Develop treatment plans and provide patient education


• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians as needed


• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Job Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible


• Prefer 2+ years of orthopedic experience or practice in Emergency/Urgent Care clinical/hospital setting


• Active/current state medical license and eligible for a VA Medical License


• DEA License


• Physical health to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position

Candidate must have experience in:

• Sports injuries Sprains & strains Slips, trips, falls


• Hand & wrist injuries Foot & ankle injuries Knee/shoulder injuries


• Cuts & lacerations


• Back & neck injuries


• Broken bones


• Sports physicals (NOVA & RIC)


• Work-related injuries

• Pay range: $111,200.00 - $166,800.00
