PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics: Adults


  • Patient Volume/Census: 15-20 patients per day


  • Case Mix: General Gastroenterology



FACILITY INFORMATION

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes


  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes



REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • PEG Tube Placement


  • Esophageal Dilation


  • Upper Endoscopy (EGD)


  • Lower Endoscopy (Colonoscopy)





JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses: Active NY State License


  • Board: Board Certified in Gastroenterology


  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI)


  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the last 2 years


  • Other Qualifications: Epic experience required; no residents or fellows



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 24-hour call coverage including office and procedure duties


  • Perform upper and lower endoscopies (EGD, colonoscopy)


  • Perform PEG tube placement and esophageal dilation


  • Manage inpatient and outpatient GI consultations


  • Complete documentation and administrative tasks
