Job Title: Locum Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology Flint, MI
Hook:

Quick Facts:
Location: Flint, MI (Multiple Facility Coverage)
Start Date: 09/09/2026
End Date/Duration: Ongoing until credentialed and matched
Shift: Part-time (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Hours per week: 24 hours (approximate)
Employment Type: Contract (Locum)
License/Certs: State licensure in Michigan; NRC/State RAM licenses (processing time approx. 30 days)
Experience: Prior radiation therapy physics experience required

What You ll Do:
- Perform initial and weekly chart checks for radiation therapy patients
- Conduct machine quality assurance (QA) procedures
- Plan and supervise HDR treatments and SBRT treatments
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with protocols
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize patient treatment plans
- Support outpatient radiation therapy services across multiple facilities
What You Need:
Required:
- Valid Michigan Medical Physicist license or eligibility
- Experience in radiation oncology physics
- Strong knowledge of machine QA, treatment planning, and documentation systems (e.g., Aria)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience with HDR brachytherapy and SBRT supervision
- Familiarity with diverse treatment modalities and complex cases

This position is based at a leading facility in Flint, MI, providing outpatient radiation therapy services. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure safe, accurate treatment delivery across multiple locations. The role involves performing essential physics quality checks and treatment supervision, supporting the facility s commitment to quality patient care.
