Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our delivery operations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods across various locations. As a key member of our driving team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellent service. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your commitment to safety and efficiency, will help us meet the demands of our fast-paced delivery schedule.
Responsibilities
Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
Deliver goods using walking floor trailers, curtain sided trailers ensuring secure loading and unloading procedures are followed
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes
Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road
Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Night out money £30 a night.
Qualifications
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with walking floor or similar trailer types
Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for large vehicles
Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
