Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for an ongoing locum opportunity in Cottonwood, Arizona, beginning September 2026. This position offers a consistent Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM schedule with a combination of hospital and outpatient clinic coverage. The clinic sees approximately patients per day, with strong clinical support available.

Practice Setting

Responsibilities

• Provide General Cardiology coverage


• Evaluate and manage outpatient Cardiology patients


• Provide hospital-based Cardiology coverage


• Perform cardiac catheterization for own patients as needed


• Collaborate with the clinical and support teams

Support Staff

• Medical Assistant


• Patient Care Technician


• Nursing support


• PA support for inpatient coverage

Requirements

• MD or DO


• 
  Board Certified in Cardiology
  


• Minimum 2 years of experience


• 
  Active Arizona medical license or IMLC LOQ required
  


• ACLS & BLS required


• Strong interpersonal and patient-relations skills preferred

Credentialing

• Approximately 30-day credentialing timeframe

Ideal Candidate

A Board Certified Cardiologist with at least two years of experience who is comfortable providing both clinic and hospital-based General Cardiology coverage, including cardiac catheterization for their own patients. This opportunity is particularly well suited for a physician seeking ongoing weekday coverage with no weekends listed and availability for multiple consecutive coverage weeks.
