Bookkeeper required for a long established engineering firm based in Newry. This permanent role offers a competitive salary of £30,000, working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm and Friday 8:30am-3:00pm.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in processing both Irish and UK payrolls, demonstrating a working knowledge of Revenue procedures, PAYE, PRSI, statutory deductions, and ongoing payroll compliance. Experience in Xero is essential, along with solid bookkeeping and accounts administration knowledge.
In this role, you will prepare, issue, and manage customer invoices, actively monitor payments and outstanding balances, and maintain precise financial records. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the internal monthly audit procedures, ensuring all documentation and records remain accurate, complete, and fully up to date.
What We Need From You
- Strong bookkeeping and payroll experience
- Experience managing payroll across both Ireland and the UK
- Day-to-day accounts administration experience and invoicing
