Seeking a Board-Certified Hematology / Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina starting June 2026. This is an outpatient-focused role in a supportive ambulatory Hem/Onc clinic with strong clinical support staff.
Position Details:
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
• No Call Required
• Patient Population: Adult
• Average Volume: 15 patients per day
• Focus: Primarily benign hematology with some oncology cases
Clinical Responsibilities:
• New patient consultations and follow-up visits
• Manage outpatient hematology/oncology care
• Write orders and prescriptions
• Coordinate treatment plans with pharmacy and infusion services
Practice Support:
• Oncology nurses
• Oncology navigator
• Infusion specialists
• Pharmacy staff
• Administrative support
• Additional physicians and APPs onsite
Requirements:
• Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology
• North Carolina Medical License Required
• DEA Required
• BLS Certification
• 2 3 years of experience preferred
• EMR: Epic
