Hematology/Oncology Physician

Seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join established practice part of the largest provider of oncology services in eastern North Carolina.

• Outpatient only clinical care


• Established team of experienced nurses, navigators, and a nurse practitioner


• Monday-Friday schedule that offers a 4.5-day work week


• Shared regional call


• Outpatient clinical responsibilities will include:
  
  
  • Developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients
  
  
  • Chemotherapy oversight
  
  
  • Supervising advanced practice provider on follow up patients
  
  
  • Leading tumor board
  
  
  
  


• Advanced Practice Provider support for follow ups, symptom management and infusion coverage


• Cancer center includes a healing garden, 8 infusion chairs, 2 private infusion areas, patient image renewal areas, and community outreach spaces


• Affiliation with and support provided multidisciplinary oncology teams for diagnosing late-stage cancers including support from disease focused medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists


• Close collaboration with the Multispecialty Clinic which offers a full range of healthcare services which include primary & preventive care, immediate care, specialty care, Lab, X-ray, Digital radiology and bone densitometry, IAC accredited ECHO lab, and AASM accredited sleep lab


• System-wide integrated EMR EPIC


• Built in referral network
