Critical Care/ICU/PICU/NICU Physician Assistant

We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant with ICU experience for a daytime locum opportunity. This position offers a 7-on/7-off schedule in a collaborative ICU environment managing critically ill adult patients.

Assignment Details

• 7-on / 7-off schedule available

Schedule

• 7:00 AM 7:00 PM


• 12-hour day shifts


• 7-on / 7-off rotation available

Practice Setting

• Multi-specialty Medical-Surgical Community Hospital


• Intensive Care Unit


• Cerner EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform daily patient assessments


• Develop and adjust treatment plans with attending physicians


• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds


• Interpret diagnostic studies


• Complete order entry and documentation

Documentation

• History & Physicals


• Consultations


• Progress and follow-up notes


• Procedure notes

Procedures Required

• Central line insertions


• Vascath placement


• Introducer placement


• Arterial line insertions

Patient Volume

• Typical ratio of ICU patients per APP


• Attending physician support available

Requirements

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant


• NP candidates must be Acute Care Certified


• Active state and national licensure


• Minimum 1 2 years of ICU APP experience


• Proficiency with central and arterial line placement


• Case logs required during credentialing
