Swim Instructor

Seeking motivated and determined individuals to join our ever-growing team! Under the supervision of our General Manager, our Swim Instructors are responsible for providing the best customer service and hospitality to our members while teaching private and group swim lessons and maintaining a safe and effective learning environment to clients of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. This position pays up to $50/hour DOE, plus bonuses and benefits. Part-time and Full-time positions are available - team members have the opportunity to work anywhere from 5 to 40 hours per week.


Responsibilities Include:


Organize and safely lead participants through swimming classes by providing effective swim instruction to participants of various ages and backgrounds
Incorporate fun activities into lessons and provide continuous, positive feedback to students
Maintain accurate, current records of client progress and provide individualized feedback on swimmer progression by communicating regularly with participants and their parents
Ensure the safety of all clients and guests by keeping pool deck clean and organized and by performing routine pool maintenance duties as needed
Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations and recognize/respond appropriately to emergencies in accordance with the company emergency action plans
Maintain a consistent work schedule; arrive at work on-time and ready for all scheduled work shifts
Actively promote the SwimQwik brand while delivering the highest quality of customer service to all participants
Participate in events, staff meetings, and continued education and training
Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:


Must be flexible, adaptable, and readily able to adjust to changes in work environment
Must have excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision
Occasionally may be required to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds in weight
CPR/Lifeguard certification. Based on qualifications/experience, can offer time to acquire this during training and orientation phase of position.

We utilize a unique teaching progression and shallow, warm-water Endless Pools to help students move from beginning stages of swimming all the way through the learning and mastering of the 4 swimming strokes: Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, and Butterfly.


In addition to our learn-to-swim program, SwimQwik has helped to improve the personal-best times of hundreds of competitive, triathlete, and open-water swimmers by utilizing the latest sequential-iterative training techniques in combination with real-time, underwater video capture technology.
