Faircloth Machine Shop's CNC machinists depend on having the right cutting tools, holders, inserts, and gauges on hand to keep production moving. The CNC Tool Room Attendant owns that tool room - keeping it organized, stocked, and accurate - so machinists spend their time running parts instead of hunting for tooling.

The Work You'll Be Doing

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized CNC tool room using 5S principles
• Issue and return cutting tools, inserts, holders, collets, drills, end mills, taps, and other tooling
• Maintain accurate tooling inventory and monitor minimum/maximum stock levels
• Notify the Manufacturing Manager or Purchasing when tooling needs to be reordered
• Prepare and stage tooling for upcoming CNC setups and production jobs
• Assemble tool holders and cutting tools according to setup sheets and job requirements
• Preset and measure tooling when required
• Inspect tools, holders, and collets for wear, damage, cleanliness, and proper condition
• Replace worn inserts and cutting tools as needed
• Clean tooling and return it to the proper labeled storage location
• Assist machinists in locating the correct tooling for production jobs
• Track tooling usage and assist with reducing unnecessary tooling costs
• Communicate tooling shortages before they affect production
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly handle sharp cutting tools
• Perform additional manufacturing support duties as assigned

What We're Looking ForRequired

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, collets, drills, end mills, and taps
• Ability to read part numbers, tooling descriptions, setup sheets, and basic manufacturing documentation
• Basic computer and inventory-management skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work effectively with others

Preferred (Not Required)

• CNC machine shop, tool room, tool crib, or manufacturing experience

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; safely handle sharp cutting tools and tool holders; bend, reach, and access storage areas; and lift/carry tooling and supplies up to approximately 40 pounds.
