The organisation has recently completed a transition to Sage Intacct, a modern cloud-based accounting system. Previous experience with Sage Intacct or similar cloud-based finance software would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong accounting fundamentals and experience using other accounting systems will be considered.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accountant will support the Finance Team and Senior Management by processing purchase and sales transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring effective financial controls are maintained.
The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately to strict deadlines within a busy finance environment.

What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years' administration and finance experience.
- Experience using accounting software within a finance environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Willingness and ability to learn new finance systems, software and processes.
- Experience within Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable functions.
- Experience maintaining financial records and working to trial balance stage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Great if you have this but not essential:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
- Experience using Sage Intacct or another modern cloud-based accounting system.
- Experience working within a high-volume transactional finance environment.
- Experience using ERP or MIS systems.
