Junior Operations Manager

Junior Operations Manager, Portadown, Salary is negotiable

Working closely with the Production and Quality teams, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily management and coordination of production activities.
• Support the organisation of production teams, staffing levels and operational resources.
• Monitor production performance, outputs and associated documentation.
• Maintain accurate records relating to production, raw materials, intake and product traceability.
• Work closely with the Quality team to ensure food safety, hygiene and quality requirements are met.
• Assist in identifying and resolving production issues, discrepancies and operational challenges.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing projects.
• Support the training, development and supervision of production staff.
• Ensure company procedures relating to health and safety, food safety and quality are followed.
• Assist with the effective use of ERP and production management systems.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working within a food manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience at supervisory or team leader level within a production setting.
• A practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• An understanding of food safety, quality control, traceability and health and safety procedures.
