Junior Operations Manager, Portadown, Salary is negotiable
Working closely with the Production and Quality teams, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily management and coordination of production activities.
- Support the organisation of production teams, staffing levels and operational resources.
- Monitor production performance, outputs and associated documentation.
- Maintain accurate records relating to production, raw materials, intake and product traceability.
- Work closely with the Quality team to ensure food safety, hygiene and quality requirements are met.
- Assist in identifying and resolving production issues, discrepancies and operational challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing projects.
- Support the training, development and supervision of production staff.
- Ensure company procedures relating to health and safety, food safety and quality are followed.
- Assist with the effective use of ERP and production management systems.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working within a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience at supervisory or team leader level within a production setting.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- An understanding of food safety, quality control, traceability and health and safety procedures.
