Job description

Quality Systems & Compliance Manager Location: Dungannon
Industry: Food Manufacturing
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

The Role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Systems & Compliance Manager to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business in County Tyrone.

You will take ownership of the site's quality and technical systems and play a central role in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

The business is continuing to develop its product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities, so this is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a progressive environment and wants to have a genuine impact on how technical standards and systems are managed.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Own and develop the site's food safety, quality and technical management systems.
  • Ensure the business remains compliant with BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, customer standards and relevant legislation.
  • Coordinate and lead preparation for BRC, customer and regulatory audits.
  • Manage customer technical requirements, queries and associated documentation.
  • Oversee the supplier approval and monitoring process, including raw materials and supplier performance.
  • Monitor technical performance through KPIs, trend analysis and regular reporting.
  • Investigate complaints, non-conformances and technical issues, ensuring effective root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain robust document control, specifications, procedures and technical records.
  • Drive improvements in food safety culture across the site.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, NPD, Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure technical standards are embedded throughout the operation.
  • Support and develop members of the Technical team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and digitise technical systems and reporting.
  • Provide technical support as the business introduces new products and continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident and commercially aware Technical professional who enjoys making improvements rather than simply maintaining existing systems.

You should have a strong background within food manufacturing and be comfortable working across a busy production environment.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience within a Technical, Quality or Food Safety management position.
  • Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and GMP.
  • Experience managing or significantly contributing to food safety and quality systems.
  • Proven experience dealing with audits, customers, suppliers and regulatory requirements.
  • Good knowledge of root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using technical data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
