Job Overview
At RSM we are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Fakenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on curtainsider and general Haulage.
Responsibilities
Operate HGV Class 1 Curtainsider lorries in compliance with all legal and safety regulations
Deliver goods to various locations across the region and nationally, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
Conduct pre-journey checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
Adhere to all driving regulations, including hours of service and tachograph rules
Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling at all times
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills during delivery interactions
Experience
Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver
Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
Experience in driving large vehicles in various weather conditions and terrains
Delivery driver experience demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement
This role is ideal for motivated drivers seeking a reputable position within the logistics sector, offering opportunities to develop further within a supportive team environment. There is also a large possibility to go Temp2perm for the right candidate.
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
