This is a varied role offering genuine ownership across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, HR processes and wider people initiatives. The RoleAs HR Officer, you'll provide day-to-day support across the HR function, taking ownership of key HR processes and acting as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers. You'll manage recruitment and onboarding activity, maintain accurate employee records, support employee relations processes and contribute to wider HR initiatives and projects.
The Main Responsibilities- Manage and support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee changes and offboarding.
- Coordinate recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and completing pre-employment checks.
- Prepare contracts, employment documentation and maintain accurate HR records and systems.
- Provide advice and support to employees and managers on day-to-day HR queries and policies.
- Support employee relations matters, including absence management, performance and disciplinary processes.
- Coordinate payroll administration and employee benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Assist with training, employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Produce HR reports and provide relevant HR data and insights to management.
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure HR processes remain compliant with employment legislation and company policies.
- Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor, HR Coordinator or similar HR role.
- Good knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience supporting or managing recruitment and onboarding activity.
- Experience dealing with employee relations and providing HR advice.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- CIPD qualification or working towards this, or a relevant third-level qualification, would be advantageous.
