Overview
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our workshop team, maintaining our fleet of vehicles/trailers at our inhouse workshop.
Duties
Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on a wide range of HGV's and trailers
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
Perform safety inspections in line with current standards
Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently
Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and within health & safety guidelines
Requirements
Proven experience as an HGV or trailer technician
Welding experience essential (MIG)
Class 1 licence preferred
Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills, using diagnostic equipment (JALTEST/TEXA)
Knowledge of braking systems, electrics and suspension
Ability to work and make decisions independently and as part of a team
Out of hours breakdown assistance will be required occasionally
Further Points
Overtime rate to be discussed for the right candidate
Holidays are 28 days per year including bank holidays.
Pay: £40,540.50-£44,226.00 per year
