Secondary SEN Tutor - 1-to-1 Outreach Tuition



Location: Bromley

Role Type: SEN Outreach / Specialist Tutor

Student Age: Year 7-GCSE

Subjects: Maths & English essential; Science desirable

Hours: 0-40 hours per week

Typical Placement: 10-15 hours per student per week

Rate: £25-£35 per hour

Contract: Ongoing / Long-Term

Tuition Hours: Mainly during school hours


About the Position


We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to secondary school students in Bromley.

The role involves supporting young people who may be experiencing difficulties accessing mainstream education. Students may have additional learning needs, emotional or behavioural needs, anxiety around school, disrupted education or substantial gaps in their learning.

You will work closely with each learner to establish a positive relationship and deliver lessons that are appropriate to their individual ability, needs and circumstances. The focus will be on making learning accessible, improving engagement and helping students make measurable academic progress.

Applicants must be confident teaching Maths and English at secondary level. Experience teaching Science, particularly GCSE, would be highly beneficial.

Placements are typically around 10-15 hours per week per learner, with sessions usually taking place during normal school hours. Tuition may be delivered in the learner's home, a community location or another suitable agreed setting.
