Project & Compliance Officer
Location: Belfast
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
Friday: 8.30am - 4.30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Apple Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Project & Compliance Officer on behalf of a highly respected organisation based in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional to join a dynamic Business Planning team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of strategic projects, business improvement initiatives and compliance activities across the organisation, ensuring projects are effectively coordinated and regulatory obligations are met.

The Role
Reporting to the Project & ESG Manager, the Project & Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting project delivery, monitoring compliance activities and assisting with business improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to coordinate activities, maintain project documentation, monitor progress and support the implementation of best practice governance and compliance arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of strategic projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate project plans, timelines, actions and reporting activities.
- Monitor project progress and support the achievement of agreed objectives and deadlines.
- Prepare reports, presentations, briefing papers and management updates.
- Maintain project documentation, trackers and governance records.
- Assist in monitoring organisational compliance obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews and policy implementation activities.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Track actions arising from projects, audits and compliance reviews.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Assist with data collection, analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a project coordination, compliance, governance, administration or business support role.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and coordinating activities across several workstreams.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, minutes and management information.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
- Degree or professional qualification in Business, Project Management, Governance, Compliance, Sustainability or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews or governance activities.
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience developing and monitoring policies, procedures or compliance frameworks.
- Project management qualification or relevant professional certification.
