Position Title:


Full-Time Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant



Location:

Arizona





Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant to join our close-knit team of skilled surgeons and physician assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment where you will gain hands-on experience in both the operating room and intensive care unit. Responsibilities:



  • First and second assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures

  • Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (training provided if needed)

  • Manage pre- and post-operative patients in the ICU and step-down units

  • Conduct patient rounds, write progress notes, and coordinate care

  • Perform procedures as credentialed (e.g., central lines, chest tube management, arterial lines)

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality patient care



Qualifications:



  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current NCCPA certification (or eligible)

  • Arizona PA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

  • Strong interest in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

  • OR and ICU experience preferred but not required training will be provided



Schedule & Compensation:



  • Full-time position with shared call responsibilities

  • Competitive compensation package, including benefits, CME allowance, and paid time off


    • New Graduates/ Need Training in CT - Approx. $130k, with milestones to achieve higher earnings

    • Experienced CT PA's - $150k or much more, depending on experienced
