Job description

Honeycomb is recruiting for an experienced Front of House professional to join a leading organisation within the legal sector, providing a first-class service across reception, meetings, events, and member enquiries.

The Job

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Front of House professional to take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of a busy reception area. Working as part of a wider team, you will provide a high-quality customer service experience, manage a busy multi-line switchboard, coordinate meeting room bookings, support events, and assist with IT and audio-visual facilities.

The Role

Meeting and greeting visitors, members, clients, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
Providing a highly professional end-to-end front of house service
Answering a busy multi-line switchboard and directing calls as required
Responding to telephone and general enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Managing the enquiries inbox and directing queries to the appropriate department
Managing enquiries and bookings for meeting rooms and facilities
Ensuring meeting spaces are managed in line with agreed procedures
Preparing rooms to meet the requirements of members, clients, and visitors
Setting up IT, audio-visual, and video conferencing equipment where required
Supporting hybrid and virtual meetings using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
Managing refreshments, including room set-up, catering orders, replenishment, and tidiness
Working with colleagues to ensure reception and meeting areas are appropriately covered
Engaging with clients and promoting available meeting facilities
Coordinating with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and maintenance requirements
Liaising with colleagues to ensure meetings and events are delivered to a high standard
Supporting Facilities Management during emergency situations where required
Acting as a Fire Warden following appropriate training
Maintaining high standards across reception and meeting areas
Supporting events outside core business hours when required
Undertaking any other duties required to support the wider team

The Person

Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths, at grade C or above
Previous experience in a Front of House, Reception, Customer Service, Office, or Hospitality role is essential
Experience working on a busy multi-line switchboard
Experience within a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel, Teams and Zoom
Excellent verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging face-to-face and by telephone
Strong customer service skills with a professional and welcoming approach
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
High levels of attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
A proactive, flexible, and positive approach with a strong 'can-do' attitude
Professional, approachable, and confident communication style
