Energy Transition Project Coordinator
Location: Belfast
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 per annum + Bonus
Apple Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Renewable Energy Operational Lead on behalf of a leading organisation committed to supporting the transition to a low-carbon future.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking Energy Transition team, supporting the delivery of innovative renewable energy, decarbonisation and sustainability initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating projects, stakeholder engagement activities, reporting, policy support and operational processes across a range of strategic workstreams.

Full sector-specific training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced project, operational, policy or business support professional looking to develop a career in the renewable energy sector.
The Role
The Renewable Energy Operational Lead will support the successful delivery of a wide range of energy transition activities, helping to coordinate projects, stakeholder engagement, events, reporting and business operations.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, the successful candidate will help ensure that key projects and priorities are delivered effectively while contributing to the development of innovative renewable energy and decarbonisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the delivery of renewable energy and energy transition projects.
- Maintain project plans, action logs, risk registers and reporting documentation.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers, presentations and management updates.
- Support policy research and monitor relevant industry, regulatory and market developments.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops and engagement activities.
- Organise events, briefings and industry sessions, managing logistics and communications.
- Support budget monitoring, procurement activity and financial administration.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the continuous development of team activities.
Essential Criteria
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, with relevant experience in a project support, operational, business support, policy, communications or similar role.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects, workstreams or business activities.
- Experience preparing reports, briefings, minutes, action logs and management information.
- Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting budgets, procurement processes or financial administration.
- Experience organising meetings, workshops, events or stakeholder engagements.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Desirable Criteria
- Degree or professional qualification in Business, Project Management, Communications, Sustainability, Energy or a related field.
- Experience working within energy, utilities, sustainability, infrastructure, policy or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of renewable energy, net zero, decarbonisation or energy transition programmes.
- Experience supporting policy development, consultation activity or research projects.
- Project management or event management qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
