Management Accountant - Immediate Start

Hays are delighted to be partnering with a top 100 organisation to recruit a Management Accountant for a 15-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and fast-paced business, providing critical financial support across operations while working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.


Your new role
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the Agency Finance team, ensuring the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts while providing valuable commercial insight to support business performance.


Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and submission of monthly logistics management accounts across operations.


• Management of key balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items


• Analysis and presentation of monthly P&L performance to key stakeholders.


• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and operational performance reviews.


• Business partnering with warehouse, freight, third-party logistics and commercial finance teams.


• Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the logistics function.


• Supporting audit requirements and compliance reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, or a finalist with relevant experience, looking to further develop your commercial finance career within a dynamic environment. You will also possess:

• Previous experience in management accounting, operational finance or supply chain finance.


• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• A commercially focused mindset with the ability to influence decision-making.


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
