Medical Receptionist - Coleraine - Part Time

Are you an organised and approachable administrator who enjoys helping others? We are recruiting a Medical Receptionist to join a busy healthcare setting in the Coleraine area.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team, providing essential administrative and reception support while ensuring patients receive a welcoming and professional service.


About the role:

  • £13.04 per hour
  • Part Time - Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Ongoing, temporary opportunity
  • Immediate start available


What you'll be doing in the role:

  • Welcome patients and visitors, providing a professional and friendly service at all times.
  • Answer telephone enquiries and direct calls appropriately.
  • Schedule, amend and manage patient appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required.
  • Support clinical staff with administrative tasks and correspondence.
  • Process referrals, prescriptions and related documentation.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, scanning and filing records where required.
  • Ensure patient information is handled confidentially and in accordance with GDPR guidelines.


What you'll need for this role:

  • Previous reception or administration experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
  • GCSE English Language (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using medical systems such as EMIS, Vision or similar would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and organised while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, discreet and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
