MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting Catering Assistants to work within the Production Kitchen at Antrim Area Hospital.
This is a busy, hands on role based primarily within the pot wash and kitchen area. The work is physically demanding and will include manual handling, heavy lifting, cleaning large catering equipment and supporting the delivery of food to hospital wards.
What is on Offer?
Shifts available between 6.30am and 7.15pm Maximum 7.5 hours per shift Working between 3 and 5 days per week Weekend work will be required Weekly pay Holiday entitlement Ongoing agency support from MPA Recruitment
What You Will Be Doing
Working within the busy production kitchen and pot wash area Cleaning large pots, trays and catering equipment Cleaning kitchen areas and floors in line with cleaning schedules Delivering food to wards using catering trolleys Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting safely Following instructions from Catering Supervisors Answering telephone calls from wards and accurately recording requests Working closely with the wider catering team to maintain a safe and efficient service
What We Are Looking For
Good reading, writing and communication skills Able to accurately take and record instructions Hard working and comfortable working in a fast paced environment Physically able to carry out manual handling and heavy duties Able to follow health and safety procedures and cleaning schedules A reliable team player who can follow supervisory instructions Flexible availability across the required shift times, including weekends Access to a car would be preferable to allow greater flexibility when covering shifts
