Assistant Accountant

Location: Belfast Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

The organisation is committed to employee development and offers a positive culture with strong long-term career prospects.Your New RoleAs Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial information.Key duties will include:



  • Assisting with month-end and year-end processes.

  • Preparing account reconciliations and supporting financial reporting.

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity.

  • Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Analysing financial information and reporting on variances.

  • Supporting process improvements and finance-related projects.

  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial support across the business.



What You'll Need to SucceedTo be considered for this opportunity, you should have:



  • Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Technician or similar finance role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Part-qualified accounting qualification or relevant finance experience would be advantageous.
