Job description

Our expanding law firm is looking for an experienced estate planning and elder law attorney. We require a highly analytical applicant with excellent negotiation and organizational abilities who is available to work full-time. You will prepare documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney as our estate planning attorney. This role carries a great deal of responsibility and seeks to eliminate questions regarding how an estate should be managed. Our ideal candidate will have extensive estate planning knowledge, be a qualified attorney, and have excellent written communication abilities. Please apply if this describes you!


Compensation:

$95,000 - $125,000




Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
  • Draft and file wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
  • Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options
  • Consult clients about your plans for distributing their assets


  • Assist with Medicaid planning and long-term care planning






Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
  • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on on estate planning and probate law issues is necessary
  • Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation
  • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
