Clinical Volume
Program Volume: 90 surgeries/procedures per month
Procedures Performed
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
- Thoracotomies
- Lobectomies
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs
- Arterial bypasses
- Aortic valve replacements
Schedule & Call
Schedule: Scheduled clinic hours + call
Call Type: Beeper
Call Ratio: 5:1
Call Response Time: 30 minutes
ER Call Coverage: Required
Clinical Responsibilities
- Inpatient rounding
- Surgical consults
- Emergency department call coverage
- Admissions required
- Assigned & unassigned rounding patients
Licensure & Certifications
Board Status:
Board Certified or Board Eligible - REQUIRED
Fellowship:- Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship preferred
- Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship preferred
