Locum Psychiatrist Correctional Health Pennsylvania (Dauphin & York)

Seeking a Locum Psychiatrist to provide services within a correctional health setting supporting Dauphin County Prison and York County facilities in Pennsylvania.


This is a part-time locum opportunity (16 hours per week) with a flexible schedule and a collaborative behavioral health team.
Position Details

  Location: Dauphin County Prison & York, PA

  Assignment Length: 13 weeks


• 
  Start Date: March 30, 2026


• 
  Schedule: 2 shifts per week (16 hours total)


• 
  Shift Options: Monday Friday between 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
  


• 
  Shift Length: 8 hours

Compensation

• 
  Rate: To be discussed at time of interview

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management within a correctional health setting


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team including psychologists, counselors, and social workers


• Manage medication treatment plans for incarcerated patients


• Support continuity of care and mental health stabilization

Patient Population
Approximately patients within the facility

• Roughly one-third of patients require medication management
  

Requirements
Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist

Minimum 1+ year of experience

• Eligible for Pennsylvania licensure
