The Role


You will be working within a specialist setting, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs alongside associated behavioural challenges. This role suits a resilient and empathetic teacher, able to create a calm, structured learning environment and motivate pupils in need of additional support to reach their full potential.



Role Responsibilities


  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Develop positive relationships that encourage engagement and learning
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals



Skills and Experience


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required
  • At least 6 months' experience within an SEN or SEMH setting
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced Child or Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months



Location and Package


  • Sutton Coldfield location
  • Salary: £140 - £253 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
  • Start Date: 1st September 2026
  • Contract position
