Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, analysing, and managing complex structural projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead innovative projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable and efficient engineering solutions. The role requires a proactive approach, strong technical expertise, and excellent project management skills.
Duties
Lead the design and analysis of structural systems using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
Develop detailed construction drawings and system designs that meet client specifications and regulatory standards.
Oversee project workflows from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural elements.
Conduct structural calculations and assessments using tools like Mathcad to verify safety and compliance.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, and documentation for client presentations and regulatory submissions.
Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Structural Engineer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other relevant design tools.
Solid understanding of system design principles within civil engineering contexts.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
Strong mathematical skills with experience using Mathcad for complex calculations.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes applicable within the UK.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by relevant professional bodies; chartered status is highly desirable.
