Neurology - Pediatric Physician

We are seeking a Pediatric Epilepsy Neurologist for a locum opportunity in Charleston, South Carolina. This assignment provides 24-hour weekly coverage, combining onsite daytime care with nightly call and comprehensive EEG interpretation for pediatric epilepsy patients.

Assignment Details

• Pediatric Epilepsy Neurology


• 24-hour coverage model


• Weekly coverage blocks


• Inpatient-focused assignment with EEG interpretation


• Flat 24-hour all-inclusive rate

Schedule

• Monday at 8:00 AM through the following Monday at 8:00 AM


• Onsite coverage during the day


• Nightly call coverage


• 24-hour coverage throughout the assignment week

Practice Setting

• Inpatient Pediatric Epilepsy


• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)


• Onsite daytime coverage required


• Inpatient and outpatient EEG interpretation


• No trauma responsibilities


• No telehealth

Patient Volume

• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit: Approximately 4 6 patients per week


• Inpatient EEGs: Approximately 8 per day


• Outpatient EEGs: Approximately 10 per day

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Pediatric Epilepsy coverage


• Manage patients within the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit


• Interpret all inpatient EEGs


• Interpret all outpatient EEGs


• Provide onsite daytime coverage


• Participate in nightly call coverage

Requirements

• MD or DO


• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years


• Fellowship required


• 
  South Carolina medical license must be in hand or scheduled to be issued
  

Ideal Candidate

A Pediatric Epilepsy Neurologist experienced in managing pediatric epilepsy patients and comfortable with EMU coverage and a significant EEG reading volume. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who can provide a full Monday-to-Monday coverage block, including onsite daytime responsibilities and nightly call.
