Learning Support Assistant - Tower Hamlets
We are seeking a dedicated SEN
Support Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Tower Hamlets, supporting secondary aged children with a range of additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring SEN Support Assistant who is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance both in and outside the classroom. You will help pupils engage with lessons, develop confidence and make positive progress.
The Role
- Position: Learning Support Assistant
- Location: Tower Hamlets
- Setting: Special school
- Pupils: Secondary aged children
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
- Assist with classroom activities and learning.
- Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
- Support pupils with their individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with staff across education and training.
About You
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be patient, compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience in a SEN or special school environment is desirable, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils. A genuine interest in education and training and a commitment to supporting young people are essential.
