Estates Manager
Location: London WC1 (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Estates Manager to oversee the maintenance, refurbishment and operational management of a large student accommodation estate housing over 800 international students in central London.
Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will lead a team of Fabric Technicians, Painters and Porters, ensuring the effective delivery of planned and reactive building maintenance, annual refurbishment programmes, contractor management and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across the estate.
- Deliver annual refurbishment programmes for student accommodation and communal facilities.
- Lead and develop an in-house maintenance team and specialist contractors.
- Oversee minor works projects, procurement, tendering and budget management
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and building regulations
- Manage service providers including lifts, grounds maintenance and pest control.
- Utilise CAFM systems to monitor assets, maintenance performance and reporting.
About You
- Proven experience in estates, facilities or property maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance, repairs and minor works/project delivery.
- Experience managing contractors and in-house teams.
- Good understanding of health & safety and building compliance requirements.
- Experience with budgets, procurement and CAFM systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
