Position Overview:
Chesapeake Internists Limited, a well-established internal medicine practice in Chesapeake, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing comprehensive primary care services to adult patients aged 18 and older.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for adult patients.
- Manage common acute and chronic conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory illnesses.
- Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Conduct women's health screenings, including Pap smears and pelvic exams.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications:
Education: Certification as a Physician Assistant
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in a primary care setting.
Licensure: Active Virginia license or eligibility to obtain.
Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
