Bowmill Engineering and Bowmill Metal Treatments are privately owned businesses operating predominantly in the global aerospace sector and employing around 130 staff at facilities occupying more than 72,000 sq.ft. in Poole, Dorset and in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Now operating 3 factories in Poole, a treatments facility and in 2016 a new facility in Tewkesbury. Bowmill Poole is currently seeking a CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator.
Your main responsibilities will involve:
Setting and operating CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines with FANUC operating control system to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications
Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
General high standard of engineering ability - fully skilled
Maintain your area to a high standard of 5C/5S
Your skills and qualifications as a fully skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator:
Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering
General high standard of engineering ability - fully skilled
Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is an advantage but not essential
What we are looking for in you:
Adept with FANUC Controls and have solid experience in the aerospace industry.
