Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a focus on providing excellent service as a delivery driver.


Duties


Operate a lorry safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and customer service.
Picking and Packing in some circumstances will also be required.


Requirements


Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
