Job Description - Approved Electrician
Location: Site Work
Reports to: Small Works Manager / Project Lead
Overview
T&D Electrical Small Works are expanding ! Seeking a skilled and personable Electrician to join our young enthusiastic team. This role is ideal for a fully qualified electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, enjoys working directly with customers, and can take responsibility for testing, certification, and occasionally leading a small team on site.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out all aspects of electrical installation, and maintenance to a high standard.
Perform inspection, testing, and certification in line with current regulations.
Act as a friendly, professional point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent service and communication.
Lead and coordinate a small team when required, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works.
Maintain accurate records, complete documentation, and provide updates to management.
Use IT systems to respond to emails, manage schedules, and complete basic reporting.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with 18th Edition).
Competent in inspection, testing, and certification.
Comfortable working across both domestic and commercial installations.
Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Computer literate with basic IT skills (email, document handling, reporting).
Organised, reliable, and able to manage workload effectively.
Desirable
Experience supervising or mentoring junior electricians/apprentices.
Familiarity with small works project delivery and client handovers.
ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
