You'll play a key role supporting both the Warrenpoint terminal and company vessels, providing hands-on IT support across infrastructure, networking, CCTV, access control systems and end-user technology.

  • Installing and maintaining wireless and network infrastructure

  • Supporting PCs, laptops and associated hardware

  • Troubleshooting software and bespoke business systems

  • Installing, configuring and maintaining CCTV and access control systems

  • Supporting IT systems onboard company vessels

  • Monitoring and responding to Helpdesk requests

  • Managing IT hardware stock and assisting with procurement

  • Providing out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota

  • Following health and safety procedures while working in industrial environments

    You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar hands-on technical role

  • Experience supporting network infrastructure and wireless technologies

  • Experience working with CCTV and/or access control systems

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work independently

  • Experience within industrial, manufacturing, logistics, ports or similar environments would be highly advantageous, although candidates from more traditional IT support backgrounds who are keen to work in a hands-on environment are also encouraged to apply.

  • Working at height, including the use of cherry pickers

  • Working onboard vessels

  • Climbing stairs and accessing equipment in operational areas

  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Participating in a 24/7 on-call rota (typically one week in every four)

  • Appropriate training and safety procedures will be provided.

  • Salary of £40,000 - £42,000

  • Paid on-call allowance plus additional hourly call-out payments

  • 20 days annual leave

  • Company pension scheme

  • Enhanced sick pay after 12 months' service

  • 40-hour working week

  • Exposure to a diverse range of technologies and infrastructure

  • A varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same
