Job Overview

Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Organise ingredients and kitchen equipment for efficient workflow
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area before, during, and after service
Support serving staff when required, including plating and presentation of dishes
Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment
Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Previous experience in meal preparation and culinary techniques
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent understanding of kitchen hygiene practices
Experience with serving or plating dishes is desirable but not essential
Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
A positive attitude, team spirit, and a passion for creating quality food
