We are seeking passionate and skilled Chefs to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will play a vital role in assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production and presentation. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic kitchen environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
- Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Help manage food costs by minimising waste and optimising ingredient usage.
What You Need:
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in food preparation.
- A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time, start date asap
Hourly Rate: £12.75+ (to be discussed)
Required experience in kitchen management: 2 years
Required License: Driving License, Food Hygiene Certificate
