Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HIAB Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle recovery/vehicle transport/vehicle inspection and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role involves transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
Operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed lorry or a 5.2 tonne beavertail for the collection & delivery of vehicles to various locations with shared use of a 12.5 tonne HIAB street lifter.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, including flatbed and street lifter operations when required.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding collection schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Provide excellent customer service during collections & deliveries, representing the company positively.
Qualifications
Valid UK driving licence with a category C entitlement (Up to 32 tonnes).
ALLMI Certification
Previous experience as a vehicle collection or recovery driver is essential.
Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
