Memorial Regional Hospital, a designated Level 4 Maternity Center and a Level 4 Neonatal Unit, and a part of Memorial Healthcare System, is seeking a BE/BC physician for a one-year OB Hospitalist fellowship opportunity. This advanced non-ACGME training position is designed for an OB/GYN who has completed an ACGME approved residency and hold an active medical license, and DEA number. The Fellow will gain extensive hands-on experience, including the surgical management of Placenta Accreta Spectrum and other complex high-risk obstetrical procedures. The selected physician will also play a key role in resident education, with opportunities to teach cesarean sections and operative vaginal deliveries. Additionally, the Fellow will help oversee the High-Risk Obstetrics inpatient unit and contribute to clinical care in the High-Risk OB outpatient clinic.
One unique aspect of this fellowship is its strong global health component. We have an established partnership with a hospital in Ghana, West Africa, where the Fellow will spend one month managing the OB/GYN service. All expenses for this international rotation are fully covered by the program, providing a meaningful opportunity to broaden clinical and cultural perspectives in global women's health.
This is a full-time opportunity with the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
