Physician Assistant On-Site Family Medicine Durham, North Carolina
Bull City Family Medicine & Pediatrics, a respected independent primary care practice in Durham, NC, is seeking a full or part-time Physician Assistant to join our collaborative clinical team. We provide comprehensive family medicine and pediatric care with a strong emphasis on continuity, prevention, and whole-person wellness.
As an independent practice, we value meaningful provider-patient relationships, clinical autonomy, and a supportive environment where your voice matters.
Position Highlights
100% Outpatient Family Medicine & Pediatrics
Full-time Schedule or (part-time 3 days/week)
On-Site Role
1 weekend per month required
Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience and hours worked
Benefits eligibility for clinicians working more than 22 hours/week
Modern EHR supporting efficient documentation and care coordination
Broad Scope of Practice: preventive care, chronic disease management, acute visits, and pediatric care
Supportive Clinical Environment with experienced physicians and long-tenured staff
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and medical histories
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
Provide patient education and preventive care counseling
Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Education
Licensed Physician Assistant (PA)
Graduation from an accredited PA
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
Current North Carolina licensure (or eligibility)
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Skills & Competencies
Excellent diagnostic and clinical judgment
Proficiency with EHR systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a diverse patient panel in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience and hours worked
Benefits available for clinicians working >22 hours/week
