Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HGV Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using specialised equipment and tools.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine, transmission, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components.
Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing.
Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time taken for each job.
Assist junior technicians when required and provide guidance based on extensive technical knowledge.
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., as well as power tools including drills and impact wrenches.
Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to identify faults accurately and efficiently.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.
Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
