Duties
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in water treatment plants and associated facilities.
Troubleshoot electrical faults using specialised tools and techniques to ensure minimal downtime.
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters for precise work on electrical circuits.
Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively during installation or repair tasks.
Collaborate with other technical staff to ensure all electrical installations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Proven experience working as an electrician within industrial or water sector environments.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in electrical applications.
Demonstrable electrical experience with a solid understanding of circuits, wiring diagrams, and safety protocols.
Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised certification.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to health and safety regulations relevant to industrial electrical work. This role is ideal for motivated electricians eager to specialise further within the water industry while maintaining high standards of safety and technical excellence.
